The 2011 Scallop season starts June 25th. and runs through Sept. 25th.   2010 was a banner year for scallops in the Steinhatchee area.  The water was gin clear and the scallops were huge.  This is a great time for families, couples and groups of friends of all ages to climb in the water and take advantage of this beautiful estuary. Glide along in the shallow, relaxing water and collect your catch. After your charter, you may want to clean your own catch (it turns into a social event), or the Captain can arrange for your scallops to be cleaned while you relax.   If you choose to have them cleaned they will be bagged ready for your freezer. You may want to take some cleaned scallops to Fiddler's Restaurant where they will prepare them to your order and provide all the trimmings.  You can’t get a much fresher seafood meal.

REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICY

Safety is of the utmost importance and decisions regarding inclement weather will always be at the sole discretion of the Captain.  In the event the Captain cancels the charter, any deposits will be returned and no further charges will be due.  Prior to any cancellation, the Captain will make all attempts to take you and your party fishing/scalloping (monitoring radar and departing later in the morning in better weather, etc.). 

When booking your charter, there will be a $100.00 deposit required.  If you cancel your charter, you will be given the option for a reschedule or full refund of your deposit.  Please advise us of your situation as early as possible, so your cancelled date can be rebooked.
